For this new build project Adrian Marmont undertook the full project management and design work looking to complement the Architectural styles of the surrounding houses. 

The original concept schemes followed the tradition of Arts & Crafts Architecture and chose the typical rough cast render, slate roof and stone detailing found as it was our clients wish to avoid the ‘newly built’ look that can sometimes be obvious with new homes. Our final design reflects the well known Arts & Crafts Architect Voycey’s work and incorporated many features he used such as the cats slide roof, large buttresses and slate and lead detailed roof.

Many people now look at the house and believe it to be an older property built in the Arts and Crafts era.  Inside a traditional theme has been maintained with panelled walls, ceilings and traditional oak flooring and doors. A feature light well allows light to flood through the centre of the building and generous sized entrance halls and gallery landings give a real sense of space. This has been combined with an interior combining different but complimentary styles including Georgian, Deco, Modernist and other Retro classics.  Throughout the building bespoke cabinets have been hand built in various timbers. Up to date systems were installed including under floor heating, thermal hot water storage, rainwater harvesting tanks and central touch screen heating controls. The interior is approaching completion and will be added to our website shortly and hope people return to view.
